Finally decided to try and quit endlessly noodling

Hello everyone! im 37 and have been playing for about 6 yerars off and on but have no real direction or practice routine. I've decided that its time to try and get a good grip on the basics so I can quit endlessly noodling around for years on end and try to make some real progress.

Thank you very much, I am super impressed with the layout of the site. It has so so many lessons I hope to get to be a decent player. I've been messing around with the guitar since 2014, I have made some progress but mostly just noodling around to backing tracks and not really knowing and for sure not learning anything at all but how to play some scale notes. I hope to correct all my bad habbits and learn some fresh material. That shouldn't be much of a problem here, ive seen so many lessons on things im interested in. Ihope to make this the year I actually start really playing songs and writing some myself. I suppose having the knowledge to compose my own music is my ultimate goal, but im not rushing it. I want the info to really sink in.Thanks for the welcome I will be here a lot I'm already sure of that. I absolutly love the way the lessons have everything right there, all the tabs, sheet music, notes, tips, everything in one spot FINALLY.
