Hi all,

Just joined GT and am really excited to wade deeper into the lessons. I'm mid 50s and just picked up a guitar for the first time a few months ago. Just prior to Covid hitting, I was surfing Amazon and saw how inexpensive some of the acoustic guitars are and thought, "What the hell, I can try that especially since its so darn cheap!". I bounced around a few youtube lessons and found that I totally love playing despite my low skill level. When Covid hit, it became the perfect diversion.

I did find some of the youtubers were pretty good but I prefer having good structure and a variety of choice so I'm really excited to be here. While going through some of the fundamental lessons, they are a little repetitive but I'm finding some nuances that have really helped. I recently picked up a Mexican Strat and I just can't stop picking it up and playing. I'm really looking forward to the journey.
