Hello all! FINALLY have time now at almost 66 to learn how to attempt to conquer this beast! Love this site and made myself start at square one. Up to Chapter 6 now on the Beginner 1 level and having a great time learning something new everyday. As you know some things take a while to pick up. Struggling with "F" right now but getting closer! Former Enviromental Geologist/Hydrogeologist that just retired in 2015. A very avid cross country skier, runner, cyclist etc. so familiar with having to work hard to improve and attain goals. Very interesting seeing my hand, fingers and wrist bending into shapes I never thought possible! Good luck to all the other newbies out there!

Hi leanwoc, welcome! You are joining a large crowd of midlife guitar learners here. Sounds like retirement is working out pretty good for you with so many activities. Good luck with your guitar adventures here.

Dave...

It takes as long as it takes unless you quit - then it takes forever and you will never get there.

"very avid cross country skier, runner, cyclist etc."

Thank goodness you decided on the guitar, I go tired reading all that :)

Good luck to you too Sir, from a fellow newbie!
