Hi y'all, just switched over to full access. I retired in 2009 and bought my first guitar in 2015. I had always wanted to play, but never had the time, now time is all I have and I'm enjoying learning to play the guitar. Just moved and lost my instructor so I decided to try online instruction. I Don't play in a band, only play for myself and family, but really enjoy playing. Maybe some day I'll get up the nerve for an open mic nite somewhere, who knows lol.
Hi Y’all
@rkitchen113, I got my first guitar about the same time as you. I didn't buy it; Santa brought it. (Well, ok so I guesss I sort of bought it lol). Also in retiremnent.
Nor do I play in a band and never will. But I also hope to do a jam somewhere, sometime. This is a great way to spend our time in retirement.
Among the myriad of online learning choices you have chosen a great one. Keep us posted on your progress.
