Greetings. I recently turned 62.5 so now I get a Social Security check. Yeah! Bought my first electric guitar with my first paycheck from my first full time job circa 1975. So in that traditition I decided to take the amount of my first Social Security check and buy myself a nice guitar.

Ibanez RGDIX6 in "Surreal Blue". It is being delivered today. Cool

I usually play blues/rock on a Squire Tele and Strat.

So I thought I would buy a "metal" guitar and go in a new direction. I figure 62 is like, the new 22 so here I am :) Wish me luck.

Hi Samdennis,

I love your enthusiasm. I think learning an entirely new genre is a great way to get the magic back.

Thanks , Very light weight, and easy to play- only had it five minutes, but I love it so far!
