Reading some of the stories of the beginners helped. I’m having trouble with the big fingers too so sounds like it just takes practice to work out the new big fingers. I’m currently practicing spider fingers and simple c and simple g cord change.

Hi hollanddanny59!

I'm glad you've found Guitartricks. If you just started playing guitar, it is fairly common to feel as if your fingers are just too darn big for the fretboard. But don't worry, this is pretty normal. Praciting spider legs is a really great exercise for building that muscle memory and getting better with moving your fingers around the neck, so I say, keep it up!

It seems like you're doing all of the right things so don't get discouraged. Learning guitar takes a lot of patience and practice.

As always, feel free to ask questions right here.

Best,

Billy
