Good morning everyone. I am 42 and just purchased my first guitar. I have always wanted to learn to play and I am super excited for the opportunity. I purchased a Taylor 110e as my first guitar. I hope I can learn and I m hopin this website is the key!

Hey ddj8052, I'm also an old 42 year old with my first guitar!

Just joined Guitar Tricks to get me off to the best possible start with my Fender CC60S. Guitar sounds awesome, I ahem.... sound awful haha! Maybee when we get a few lessons in we can have a jam!

You are me 5 years ago, except I was "really old" at 50. I have loved every moment of my old guy guitar journey. It isn't always easy, but stick with it. Be realistic. It will be slow and difficult at first, but so worth it when you see yourself progressing.
