What do ya' think about "Electar Tube-10 Amps" are they good ones? Or are they cheap (not expense wise). I'm just lookin' 4 an (a cheap one) Amp that can handle heavy distirtion sounds and being cranked.

You're going to need a bigger amp than that, even if you plan on micing the amp. Settle for no less than 50 watts, perferrably 100+. You can get a 120 watt Crate GFX212+ from musiciansfriend.com for $419. Its a good amp for metal and a phenomenal value. Don't be suckered into buying gear without looking in the right places, you can save a ton of cash by shopping smart. Call 1-800-776-5173 to get monthly Musicians Friend catalouges for free, and check the reviews at harmonycentral.com before buying something to get an idea of the quality/sound of the prouduct you intend on purchasing. Or you can consult a "gear expert", like me.
Also important: Don't be suckered into buying something based on brand hype (ex: anything Fender related, especially since you're interested in playing metal. Avoid Fender guitars and amps like the 10th plague on Egypt).

If you can't afford the GFX212, they have a 65 watt GFX-65 combo for $329

First off it is mainly bedroom practice. I'm in Jr.High and I homeschool so don't know ANBODY at all to jam with except for my dad but he plays I guess you more softer stuff you know acousticky stuff (that's probably not a word but oh well) so i can't jam with him. Plus I don't really get much of an "allowance" and can never find anything to do for money so I'm on a real tight budget. But I do want a good sound so would you still suggest an Electar or should I go with something else?

you should check out the peavey bandit 112. It's maybe one of the best solid state amps ever made, and peavey's top selling product, I own one my self and it's pretty good. They usually run about $350 and used you can get em like 225 or less,on ebay even less than that, but 30-$40 in shipping it to you from most people. It's a 100 watt monster!!! You'll get that electar and in a few months you'll be wishing for something bigger, better, and louder, I know i'm gonna get a new amp one day, but i have no regrets about buying the bandit. Totally giggable man.

Stats:

amp features one 12" Sheffield speaker. It has two channels. The clean channel has low, mid, and high eq. along with a bright switch and volume. The overdrive channel features the same eq. There are "thrash" and "gain" switchs which allow for a multitude of different overdrive sounds. The overdrive channel also features preamp gain and volume control. There are master reverb and presence knobs on the amp. Other features include: an effects loop and an external speaker jack so that you can hook up an external cabinet.

...I know it's going to be hard to find a good amp for cheap, but I have to I'm also trying to buy a guitar right now so I can not afford something very expensive. Right now I'm borrowing an amp from a friend I think it's a Peavey Solo series special 112 it's a pretty good amp i think but I haven't played with many amps. Does any one know how much those cost? Or any other fairly good Amp for major distortion and stuff that is around $100-$200?
