....continued....LOL
...man...you two were fast...hardly time to remove the PayPal buttons from the Strat sample page...LOL.
Contents should display properly now....
Wanted to say that, indeed, the Strat was too fine...a solid, slick and "pretty" axe...but with this Sonex in hand a wave of inspiration hits with the different feel and raw tone -- early Billy Gibbons in fact...does not seem to matter that it's a bolt-on neck, composite material body and looked as if it had lived on the rails when I got it (...before some TLC of course, and a warm basement...)...damn...basis for a screenplay? LOL
All it needs is new saddles, and a trip to the shop for proper set-up/intonation adjustment. It does weigh a ton and no doubt could beat off a pack of rabid dogs...
"...uhh...Dave's not here, man..."

it's good to hear that you found an axe that's accomodating to both your style and your physical needs. Too many guitarists out there decide that, for instance, they love metal, so they're restricted to Ibanez until they can afford a higher-end Jackson, or since they're into Jazz they have to play an expensive hollowbodied beast. They never try anything outside "the box." I've played a billion guitars, and I'll carry my $200 Kramer Baretta hardtail into any sonic battle.
Personally I think your not-quite-Les Paul looks pretty badass, if I ever see one I'll have to give it a go. I think those old Recording Les Pauls from around '72 look pretty cool.

They had different pickups in them, which had lower output, and were meant to be super clean. At the time I was busy imitating Jimi, Jimmy, Jeff 'n Tony (Hendrix, Page, Beck & Iommi), so I unloaded it quickly.

Yeah, they strike me as one of those utterly bizzare and quirky guitars that would probably be fun to wail on.

I have an 80's model Electra mpc it sounds great it looks just like BB kings Lucille and it has a compartment in the back of it where you can exchange 2 effects boxes. I also like Jacksons and Kramers

All that depends on what kinda music you want to play with it. Kramers (www.musicyo.com) are awesome guitars for the price. I love my Baretta, which I got on sale for $200.
