What equipment has everyone got ?
I own a maverick guitar and a mg marshall 30watt. I also use to have a fender strat but that got stolen.
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

HEY 'DEATH', I forgot to mention, VERRY SORRY to hear you had a guitar stolen. DAMN that bites, huh?

I've had gear & guitars stolen. A couple of outboard pieces, two gibsons, some other sh*t, man that sucks, and NO musician should EVER have to experience that. I feel even worse for you cats who only own a couple/few guitars. At least when it happened to me I still had many guitars, but it STILL FR*K'n hurts just the same! One of my maddest Flying-V's was stolen.

You have my compassion & my blessings brother!

If ya' find out who did it, tell 'em I gots' some "FRIENDS" that want them to play "HOCKEY" with us... ok?
;)

Cort CL1000, about a dozen picks, 15 foot cable, a tuner, and very soon not a gig bag. And a piece of **** $30 acoustic I bought in Mexico that's going to need new tuning gear next time anyone puts more tension on it than it's usual 2 steps down (4 semitones).

I know, it's not much to show for 4 years of playing.

Yeah, theft isn't fun. If someone stole my cort I would literally kill them. I would hunt them down and put a crowbar through their head repeatedly and then stomp on their neck just to make sure. You have no idea what kind of emotional issues I have with that guitar.

well the guitar wasnt directly stolen from my house but my dad gave this guitar to the person from another country that was linked to his work and the guy said he would pay next time he saw him. Its been months now and i think he has just run off with my guitar.
I dont think its as bad as what happend to my friend though. He had everything stolen from his room which included his amp and guitar. They also tried to burn his house down.
Oh i also have over 150 picks !!! beat that :)

That is some amazing stuff u have there jsv. Wish i had that kind of equipment.

Man I feel your pain on the stolen guitar thing... I had one of my Pacer Carerras taken from me after a show. 300 people and no one could say who did it... Go figure. They weren't too smart though, because it was obvious they took it on looks alone, because my San Dimas Charvel with beat to hell paint was sitting right next to it. On any given day the SD could fetch around a grand even in the shape it's in, which is excellent in my opinion. I like the paint :)
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

The only thing than scares me is trying to keep it up to date. Upgraded to Sonar 3, and needed a new CPU!

Iā€™m happily plodding along at 24/48 however my next move will be going up to 24/96 and paying for that will be Pants !!

...The only thing than scares me is...

...is that I think the '424' is a 4-track cassete deck?

Hey! Welcome back, Jake! Last time you were here, I was a snotty nosed newbie that put you down; now I'm a moderator with a little more sense!

Still, don't you dare cross me.... ;)

Yep, the 424 it is not in a critical recording path and is only really used as a glorified patchbay. I did try A/Bing it against a bypass to check for signal deterioration and it was OK (though I doubt it adds anything other than the ability to listen to multiple sources with out having to unplug stuff).

This may also be due to the less than Stella acoustics of the room it is all in or a combination of the Alesis monitors (not bad but not the best by a long shot) and the rooms acoustics.

I keep all the trim right down and figure that as a desk the 424 will be at least as good as a cheap Behringer !

Im always looking for ways to improve my set up so please feel free to point out any week points !

Fender Mexican strat lol
Had some cheap guitar called a 'Pan' .. no clue who made them.. about 9 years ago but smashed it on stage when I got the Fender. lol.

An old Yamaha amp that nobody claimed at a festival and a fender chorus amp. Vox wah and some dirt pedal that came with the yamaha.

I've never had equipment stolen, mostly because it's sht, but I did have the biggest bottle of CR stolen right off my amp while I was standing beside it playing. That was a tad annoying.
