I went to switich my Fender Bassbreaker 007 amp head this morning and nothing, no lights, no power no hum. Completely dead.

Is this what happens when the Power Amp tube blows? It was working fine and i have notive any change in tone.

I have tried the plug and fuse but they are fine.

Will a new valve tube sort the problem out?

Cheers

[p]Take it to a reputable shop.

It could be a power tube. But more likely it's something else, the transformer, rectifer. And visual inspection of a fuse doesn't always indicate that it's fine. And even if it is the fuse, there's a deeper reason the fuse blew.

Take it to a shop! Best of success with it.
