Pick-up selector

I have a Fender Strat with three single coil pickups and a 5-way selector. I need to know which settings are for which pickup(s). The 1st setting (the one closest to the low E string) produces a very clean sound and the 5th setting (closest to the floor) produces a fuzzy distored sound. Is the first setting the bridge pickup or the neck pickup? And what are the rest? I think it will be really helpful to know this. I read the guitar's manual and it didn't explain this. Thanks in advance to anyone who can fill me in.
