Don't get lost to much in theory and the why's unless you want to be a composer instead of a guitar player, getting to obsest with theory leaves the guitar learning in a dark corner which you might regret down the line.

Yes I understand to get lost in theory is definitely not my Focus just using the tool to guide me along
I would like to get to a point where I am a decent composer I want to be able to arrange and compose My
this why I start guitar first to learn just enough to get my rythm timing down enough and to play some rhythms, melodic melodies and phrasing
now I am trying to focus on Harmony and the best ways to arrange chords to fit the melody line and this is a great program to aide in that journey

I wasn't familiar with it. So, I found their YouTube channel with an intro tutorial.

Wow, that's a pretty powerful program! Lots of bells & whistles, neat options.
It looks like it does funcional analysis at many different levels of difficulty. But I'm not sure it will do want you want.
Did you see somewhere in that program that you can enter a melody line? And harmonize it? Because I only see chord progression analysis. I don't know much about the program, but I didn't see a tool for that option.
I did see a video in which a guy is using the program to analyze a jazz tune. But he's getting the melody from a Real Book. Then he puts the chords into the program & it helps him figure out which mode is being used in the song.

The point here is that I'm not sure this program will show you how to harmonize a melody. I've only seen it used to analyze a pre-existing melody & chord progression. So, caveat emptor! Hope that helps!

Yeah this is just a very good tool
no you cannot add meldoy notes not of yet so I use sound slice along with this program
but you can have the program find target notes Root , 3RDs 5THs 7ths 9 ths 11ths 13ths of the given chord by checking off and on the options to do so this is a add on
You are also able to put in Your only Chord progression as well as well it comes with alot of jazz standards
what I like is that it is a visual way of Tonal Harmony that I have never seen before along with Your teaching Chris I see this as a win,win
here a basic musical idea that they show in a more updated version 8.0
down below for so far for me the fisrt 8 mins I understand
https://youtu.be/kl2pitf-aOc
The reason I am ask if anyone has so I can learn from them on better use of this program
I do have this program on ipad and Mac but veriosn 7 waiting for soon upgrade to version 8 and
part one
part 2
