So I started following lessons on here about Pentatonic scales. I understand the positions and the formula that is used. I am just kind of unclear. I am reading C has no sharps or flats or does a minor. I under stand the a minor pentatonic scale and where they get the notes. What I am confused on is the B minor Pentatonic scale So the formula is 1,3b,4,5,7b so it would be b,c,d,e,f,g,a and we would pull notes b,d,e,f,a i am confused on where the F# is coming from I am seeing it should be b,d,e,f#,a I see it as b,d,e# which that would become a regualr e. f,a# any help would be awesome been looking at this for awhile :P

Got it I think. I was writting out the alphabet without the sharps. and looking at the diagram you posted
B 1st (WS)
C# 2nd (HS)
D minor 3rd (WS)
E 4th (WS)
F# 5th (HS)
G minor 6th (WS)
A minor 7th (WS)
B 1st

I was counting the B note as the root whole step which it should have been
B to c# whole
C# to d half
D to e whole
E to f# whole
F# to g half and so on or am i still wrong? with the formula i used to did get the right notes this time
