Hey I've been playing for years and have decided to learn properly (hence signing up for Guitar Tricks). I dabble a lot and have started to experiment with looping, albeit with an awful recorded and sound quality. Does anyone know if this is in a particular key btw?

I'd love any feedback, thank you! I have so many idea so I'm just starting to get them 'out there'... Disclaimer - lots of wrong sounding notes...this is kindof an experiment :-)

here is the link

You've got the capo on the 3rd fret & you're playing (mostly) notes from G minor pentatonic.

The minor pentatonic scale is used in both blues & traditional Asian music. So your idea has both of those "flavors"!

Good rhythm. What you have there is a nice backing track ready for a melody. Start to think in terms of melody, like what a singer would sing over that riff.

Keep experimenting & practicing!

Thanks Christopher.

I'm going through some of your lessons now, currently the Pentatonic series. They are great!

Thank you!

Here is something else I'm working on, I like to record snippets of ideas just so I don't forget stuff :-)
