Hi All,

Question: Can you intermingle different strings on a guitar? Can I put strings from a set of 9’s and strings from 10’s on at the same time? Ex: from a pack of 9s put on the high E, B and maybe G and strings from a pack of 10s on Low E, A and D? Or vice versus. Would this work?

You can do whatever you want. Depending on what you have on now you may have to adjust string height and intonation but, yes you can. I imagine others can add more info or maybe famous players who do this.

Also, some string makers make special sets that might meet your needs.

You can buy them as a a set , I use D'Addario EXL 125'S , .009 to .046 . That gives you the top of a set of 9's and the bottom of a set of 10's . Ernie Ball equivalent are called Hybrid's ,

You can even make Your own sets with single strings[br]https://www.gear4music.com/Electric_Guitar/Strings.html[br]https://musicsquare.co.uk/119977g_Guitar-and-Bass-Strings-Strings-for-Electric-Guitars.html[br]https://www.sweetwater.com/c926--Electric_Guitar_Strings
