I may be missing something here. But I typically use the site a few months and then stop for a bit. When I want to stop my membership it used to allow me to do it online just by clicking cancel.

Now, it asks me if I want to cancel, gives me a few reasons why i should reconsider, and then gives me a telephone number that I need to call?

Is this accurate and for real? I just want to cancel my account, why do I need to call in to do so? I never had to do this before.

If I am mistaken, please correct me and I will cancel online, but if its not a error and the process is to call some number between monday and friday, then that is a poor customer service move from my perspective.

probably the reason they don't accept paypal any more. WE like control but it is easier to cancel which means less money for them. I understand and all that....but, like you, I like to be on the site and then leave (for a variety of reasons) and then come back. I don't like being locked in. Even if it is a good deal. I won't come back as a paying member until the paypal option is/if it comes back.

Either the two of us are blind and stupid mate, or they changed their policies and now go down the road of dodgy websites I usually steer clear off. It's a shame really, I always loved this site.

Why should I call a US number to cancel my subscription? GT, please, give us back the option to opt out of the subscription.

I know you'll make more money with people who just don't cancel their subs because it is a hassle, but seriously, that's no way to conduct business.

Change it back. Thanks.

look at the bottom right of the web page and there is a contact link, there's no need to phone them you can contact them through email and every time I have had to do this they have been very helpful and replied quickly

Hi everyone,

If anyone wants to cancel a membership it's as easy as sending us an email. You can click the 'contact us' link at the bottom of every page. You do not need to call us to cancel your account.

Seriously people. I know that every penny counts, but it's very ****ty to make it more complicated than it should be to cancel.

When I click to cancel my sub I am taken to another page but nothing happens when I click on the "No, I want to cancel" button. Please cancel my sub. I would hesitate to resub again without an easy way to cancel.

Hi dagd,

Sorry for the trouble! That number isn't actually our phone number, ours is: (855) 394-8482. The 855 part is the difference.

Anyway I went in and see that someone in support already cancelled your subscription and gave you a refund of your last payment. So let us know if you need anything else.

Ben

I am trying to cancel my subscription too. It is incredibly alarming that I can not do so online and instead is asked to put in a prefered price. This is incredibly disturbing, I am now sending an email to cancel.

This whole membership system now feels incredibly unethical.

Did you go to your accounts page? There is one 'cancel' hot link near the top of the initial account page. Going to the billing page from that initial page that hot link shows again plus, incredibly, another 'cancel' link at the "Manage" section and a "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the page. It looks incredibly easy...maybe they're not working..?

Hey James - I looked into this and it looks like you emailed us to cancel your billing last night after hours, and first thing this morning Terry cancelled your billing and emailed you to confirm. So you should be good to go.

We have members with subscriptions now through lots of different payment methods: credit cards, paypal accounts, Apple accounts, Google Play accounts, etc. We also have an add-on subscription called Full Access Plus. Each method has a different cancellation process on our end, so we have users email or call us so that we can manually make sure billing is cancelled for each user and there aren't any issues.

I just wanted to clear that up in case anyone is wondering about this! Customer service people are online to help 7 days a week, and we always have our 60 day refund guarantee.

Let us know if you have any other questions about this!
