Hi there,

I know this question might not make sense, but I found this series of lessons from Neal Walter, Guitar tricks 6, (https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=14391)

I was wondering what is the main course that contains this Guitar tricks, I am finding a bit difficult to find stuff like this other than searching for it spefically, for example when I look for Style, the videos on Metal, I guess they would be part of a bigger series of lessons.

I hope this question makes sense.

Hernan.

Hey Hernan,

That video is actually a very old GuitarTricks Channel episode, which is a weekly YouTube series, and we've had several different hosts over the years. You can find all the episodes here:

https://www.guitartricks.com/channel/

The Metal Tutorials here https://www.guitartricks.com/style.php?input=metal are stand-alone tutorials, not part of a larger course. Not all tutorials are part of a larger course.

Does that help?

-Carl.

I was wondering what is the main course that contains this Guitar tricks, ...[/quote][p]That lesson is not part of a course. That's a series of lessons Neal did for the GT Channel. Channel episodes are usually self contained, single topic lessons.

The navigation links on the left side of the page have some of those Channel episodes gathered together into a tutorial container.

Not every lesson is part of a course. There are 3 primary categories of tutorials on GT.

1. Core Learning System. This is an integrated step by step curriculum of lessons that start at absolute beginner. If the Fundamentals are too simple & you already know all that, then dive into one of the style courses.

2. Song Catalog. This is all the songs GT has the secured the rights to teach.

3. Instructor Directories. These are more specialized topics, sometimes organized in sub-categories. You can view the instructors & their specialty here. This is where you dive deeper into the skills & ideas that taught in the courses.

For example, I have over a thousand lesson on various topics, organized by topic or focus.

All of Neal's lessons are here.

There isn't a metal course. But you can search for styles of music & get this as a result for metal tutorials.

If you have a question about a certain topic, or how to do some skill, please ask! The GT database of lessons is enormous! That's one reason the forum is here, to help you find the resources you desire.

Hope this helps!

I was also wondering about the guitar chanel. i have seen some good tutorials on it lately from Gary regarding how to figure out notes/chords that work together etc. Seems he's a really good instructor...BUT...how do I search the chanel in GT for specific key word/topics? or do I need to go on youtube instead?

Gary isn't listed in instructor directory, yet seems prolific on the chanel and quite a few of the listed instructors only have a couple of lessons...were they part timers who just popped in?

Anders/Chris and Mike doing OT while rest of the instructers kick back? hehe.
