[p]That's the essence of it. It's a straight 1/8th note groove with a bass note, some ghost strums & staccato stabs on the upper register chord triads associated with each bass note. It's a pretty stereotypically R&B type of guitar part groove.
So the first two chords look like this:

That first chord is a stretch! I'd do it by moving positions. But it might be done by using a capo on the 2nd fret, or it could be 2 separate guitar parts. But all of that is possible one guitar.
