Yeah, the 5th mode of harmonic minor is pretty common for Flamenco. You can also overlap the 5th mode of h.m. with the phygian scale, I believe this is what they refer to as spanish phrygian. Ex; A Bb C C# D E F G A.
You can also change the G to a G# for some added flavor.
