The tremolo is pretty confusing at first, mainly because it has a stupid name. Tremolo refers to the repetition of a single note or alternation between 2 notes to cause a pulsating effect, which has nothing to do with the tremolo arm on a guitar. Vibrato is variations of the pitch. The "tremelo" acts to add vibrato to your playing in the same way bending the string would. If you know how to add vibrato with your finger, then that's exactly what the tremolo does.
Anyone know why it's actually called a tremolo? Cause that isn't what it does.
