I'm on the lifelong trip of finding my magical tone. To me, my current setup sounds too mid-rangy and muddy. I play hard rock/metal. Here is a list of my current equipment.

Music Man EVH (Main axe)
Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb 50 watt head
Marshall 1960A cabinet
Line6 Pod Pro (To me, only good for recording)
various little stomp boxes

I'm thinking about replacing the pup's in my EVH with Dimarzio's Steves specials since they scoop out some of the midrange. I'm also considering changing out the speakers in my Cab. It's loaded with 25 watt greenbacks right now. Looking at Vintage 30's.

Any comments and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a tone that's full and tight.
