The best thing you can possably get is a dual rectifier Mesa Boogie rack mount head. I think it takes up two rack spaces. Then for effects use a lexicon unit. And you should also get a rack mount EQ. The reason why you want the mesa is it's got the best gain stageing of any amp. When I say "gain staging" that has nothing to do with distortion. there are knobs for how much signal is sent out of the effects loop and how much is returned. Get the dual rec that has no reverb or any thing the stripped down version. You want to do the reverb/FX's thing externally. You should also get one of the mesa cabs with the celestion speakers I think the 2x10 is better than the 4x10 cabs cause your pushing the two speakers harder. 4x10 cabs of any company are actually very under powered no matter what head or power amp your using which really takes away from the sound. The 2x10 cabs are much more responsive and alive sounding. You willget the warmest blues tone ever from an all tube power amp and preamp. Lexicon dosen't have a preamp that why you use it,a lot of people make the mistake of running a FX's proccecer with a preamp through the FX's loop. You should never do that. The reason you should also get an external EQ is the model your sound to make it tighter. The Dual rectifer rack mount head is the way to go, awesome warmth and tone.
