I have found that too. Definatly not a good idea with a good guitar then as it will take away its unique tone and just give it more tone just from the pedal. What kind of music do you usually play apart from classical kind of stuff ? dont you like some power metal bands too ?

hehe, you should be rich and famous anyway. I think your knowleadge of guitar and your playing is really good. This new guitar is just an extra :)
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.
