After doing my own research, i've decided that i'm not good at researching and asking is easier and more effective. So....
Been ebaying, bought 2 humbuckers (dimarzio dual sound and evans eliminator 2 rythmn - any feedback on the evans is appreciated, couldn't find that much about them, but apparently they're amazing?) and 4 pots destined for an old les paul copy i acquired...
The pots supposedly originally came with some emgs and were surplus - hence sale. They are wired together in a chain, but non of the wiring diagrams i've looked at seem to match this arrangement. I also don't know which is intended for tone and which for vol, i think i do, but im unsure.
-They are in 2 pairs connected via a ground wire.
-Each pair has one pot labelled A500k and one B500K
-The A500k have 223 resistors(?) between 2nd terminal and ground. I think this is the tone pot....
-The B500k pots have terminal 1 grounded and the 3 terminal wired to the 1st of the A500k
Why are the wires and resistor as they are - i'm yet to see a pic with this format. Can i just take it apart and use either pot as a tone or vol?
Any explainations much appreciated, and i'll be back with more wiring dilemmas in the future i'm sure...
