It's the pick , I guess .
Go heavier ... I use 2mm Dunlop "Gator Grip" on .010's gauge strings like yours.

If that doesn't solve the problem ,try to practice picking next to the bridge , do some tremolo picking ans stuff , you'll get used to it.
