Hey all...

Bored of the same old sweeping two-octave minor arpeggios? Let's start a thread for wierd and less-common sweeping arp patterns. I've got some to share:

Fig. 1

E |--------------12----------------
B |-----------10----10--------------
G |---------9----------9------------
D |------12--------------12---------
A |---10--------------------10------
E |-8--------------------------8----

Fig. 2

E |-------------12----------------
B |----------14-----and descend---
G |-------16----------------------
D |----14-------------------------
A |-12----------------------------
E |-------------------------------

Fig. 3

E |-------------14----------------
B |----------15-----and descend---
G |-------16----------------------
D |----17-------------------------
A |-14----------------------------
E |-------------------------------

Ok, now sweep this scale and hammer each half-step (sounds a bit 'Shawn Lane-ish' if executed extremely fast...also a strange-sounding scale):

Fig. 4

E |--------------------------7h8-----
B |----------------------8h9---------
G |------------------8h9-------------
D |-------------9h10-----------------
A |-------10h11----------------------
E |-11h12----------------------------

Fig. 5

'Broken' arpeggios: Do not sweep them. I personally think that technique doesn't do this lick any justice.

E |--------------------------------------------------------
B |---------10----------12---------15---------17---------19
G |-------9----------11---------18---------16---------21---
D |----11---------14---------16---------17---------19------
A |-10---------12---------14---------16---------17---------
E |--------------------------------------------------------

E |-------------------------------------
B |----------20~~-----------------------
G |----18-21----------------------------
D |-19----------------------------------
A |-------------------------------------
E |-------------------------------------

That lick is from my tune, 'Staggering', which is available for download (the full mp3) from the website in my signature. The specific audio clip is also available here:
