if you use powertab, a program thats mentioned in a few other posts, you can try to learn it by putting in tab notation and looking at what the standard notation is. Apart from that, learn the note names of all the frets (its not as hard as it sounds) and then learn the note names on the treble clef- try and put the two together. I've been reading standard notation for over 10 years on multiple instruments but am still having toruble with it on guitar, so good luck and stick with it.
