I started playing as kind of a retreat from the BS,and after a short while it became the most important thing in my life, which in a way was good cause my seriousness for the instrument kept me away from allot of the drugs and crap that all my freinds did as kids and the stuff that floats around when your giging(Do love my brew for R&R though lol).

You know, that reminds me- most of the parents that i know wouldn't give their children the opportunity to learn how to play the guitar because they think it might interfere with their studies! (my father for instance was like that at first). But as I always say- atleast those kids would be hooked on to playing guitar (which is something productive)instead of doing something else like doing drugs and ****. Thank you for sharing your story Guitar- Sam. I really think it was a beautiful story. I'm glad that after all those years of hardships, you turned out to be ok. You see, I strongly believe that nowadays, people often take music forgranted. I remember when I was in highschool- the government was putting so many cuts that I thought we wouldn't have any more music classes because the government didn't think music was important enough! Your story provides a beautiful example of how music can be an important aspect of life. Thanks for sharing and keep on rockin!
"Lets see… well I play the guitar and when I'm not playing the guitar, I think about playing the guitar. My other favorite instrument, is the guitar and if I aspired to play any other instrument, it would be the guitar...

I can’t sing so I sing through my guitar. So when the sound guy says: “Your guitar is too loud!” I think: "Why does he never say that to the vocalist?"
