It is very loud and I was able to get a great clean sound as well.
But I would go for the 5150 II if you're going to buy one.
It blows the regular 5150 out of the water. The distortion is much nicer, not as grainy, and the overall tone is just better.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.
