Well, you can leave the springs in and block it to make it stay where it is but there's no difference if you block it
or not if you're gonna remove the strings anyway. Your
best bet would be to use exactly same kind of strings
you're using now. That way the bridge's angle shouldn't
change much if at all when restringing.
