Hey Chuck, that's because you are shopping on Ed "Let's-blow-the-price-way-out-of-proportion" Roman's site. Not to mention he will flat out lie to you in order to make a sale.... I called him on a Sambora doubleneck that he had on the site. He told me that it was made in the USA, there were only 6 in existance and that he wanted 8k for it. Me... being as informed as I am about these things, automatically had the bull**** radar go off... First off it was a Japanese model with an imitation Floyd Rose, and there were a few THOUSAND made... they go for 1.5k all day long on ebay... Not to mention he tried to pawn off a Musicyo Kramer for $400 (it lists on Musicyo for $199) by saying it was the last custom shop guitar to come out the the New Jersey Plant... I would be wary of buying anything from him.. He could have one of his guys make a copy of a PRS and pawn it off as the real thing.. That man has no scruples.....
