I'm learning how to teach someone how to play an acoustic guitar. So, I'm basically going back to the basics, which I think is going to help me, because I want to learn everything about what I teach, so I can answere and explain any question the person might have (boy, talk about a run-on sentence). Would it be a good idea to get a good instructional and walk him through it, or just start from scratch?

For myself I'm working on improving my pinch harmonics and my accuracy. I really need to start getting into theory too, but don't know where to start. I would love to take lessons myself, but I don't know of anyone close enough to me that could professionally help me.
