True enough. But in my opinion, 1.2 - 1.6 is the ideal thickness. Like someone else mentioned, if the pick is too thick (ie 2.0), then it can become hard to alternate pick efficiently. Ideally, the pick shouldn't be too thin or too thick. That's my opinion.
