Ok, man, I've heard a lot of really awesome things about it, so I must hear it. Do you have an MP3 you could post of the oh, so infamous, "Infamous Moog Boog?"

Wow...you got tabs for that? That blew my mind!

if i'm not mistaken some of it sounded like tapping down pentatonic scales ?
By virtue of their electrical properties, tubes generate a special waveform when they're saturated, which is why tube engineering has tremendous tonal advantages over solid state or DSP solutions, particularly for crunch and lead sounds. Tubes enter the saturation zone gradually or softly, which lends tube-driven tone its trademark yet totally unique character.

All of em :p
On my host page there's a tab of verse 2 listed under MoogBoog and verse 3 is a combination of stuff like the 8 fingertapping, 4 fingertapping, Octave and Harmony tapping stuff in the All About Tapping tutorial.

Okay, Schmange, that is a fine quality song. Your rockingness surprises me to no end. Rock on, dude, rock on. Any tabs for the first verse? I think the second may be a wee bit too fast for me to learn as quickly as I'd like. I think something as fast as the second verse would probably take me a few weeks...I know, isn't it sad?

By the way, "Going Home" rocks dude, but why do you have the synth voices in the background? They kind of take away from the rest of the song.

kewl..thanks
I've still gotta go back and work on em a lot more and get em professionally mastered...none of the songs is really completed yet. Goin home still has to have the drums redone & MoogBoog is a really early recording that I gotta totally redo. I'll probably write out a full tab for it once I've re-recorded it... maybe early next month, once I've finished the two songs I'm working on now.

cool, cuz all my friends seem to be pretty impressed with the song as a whole (moog boog), but I've got to take my hat off to the first verse I really love that buildup type thing.

And speaking of nothing, why haven't you been posting on guitar war in so long? You usually kick everyone's ass.
# 12
Dunno... got too involved in other stuff & kinda forgot about it I guess.
# 13
hmm...well that's as good an excuse as any. Hey, if you're not too busy, could you tab out that intro to Moog Boog? Just like the first twelve notes I think. Like "dun dun dun...dun dun dun...dun dundundundundun..." that whole thing. I just really would like to adapt that for the next time I improv with some guys. Or if you could at least tell me the notes.

Well, I like it.
Why is it called moog boog though. Is that a moog doing the bassline? Real or software?!

ok ....I just posted the tab for ya. I did it quick so hopefully it's accurate.... and yup, the original version was written on a MiniMoog but this version's done on a guitar synth using a moog patch.

hey, thanks so much man. That's really nice of you dude.

Are you gonna dedicate Moog Boog to Robert A. Moog?
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Very nice indeed. Nice to hear some tasteful use of tapping, not just some wankering (not referring to any other of your material, just in general).
