In fact, I'm kind of surprized "I" wasn't ridiculed for mentioning MY fav' (first response in this thread)?!!
Our "opinions" are based on our experience, education, and perception, amongst other things. Because of the variables in our ability/experience, we may perceive things which effect the criteria of our judgements. So from my own perspectives, and that which I've been exposed to, have influenced which distortions I personaly employ to label something "superior" in a given field of expertise.

YOUR opting to express a personal point of view, in a forum which appears to invite the free expression of public opinion, has inadvertently clashed with My Own, resulting in a (frequently predictable) misunderstanding amoungst brothers whom are still willing to uphold the diplomatic etiquette of RESPECT for each other.

I can only hope I properly apologized for the humorous method in which I chose to display my opinion; defended my position without becoming "defensIVE", and have retained your respect for me as a fellow guitarist/musician, and member of this splendid community of brothers.

In closing:
1. You still have my respects, my friendship, my brotherly love, (and I can only hope for the same from you).
2. My favourite guitarist is still "ME".
3. There is, and never will be, a "BEST" guitar player in any field (although I would personaly put my money on Jennifer Batten or Paul Gilbert)
4. Many of you will think I'm NUTS & outta'-my-mind... Good for you!
5. Dimebag Darrel STILL does not impress me in the least.
6. If one expects to find total harmony and accordance by taking literally those things which we find 'poorly' typewritten on the vast wasteland of internet message boards; one will also find vast amounts of disappointments.

7. "Mikewie", if I witnessed someone picking on YOU, in a way I believed was unfair or disrespectful; I would be there in a heartbeat to defend you as a brother! You have My Word as a gentleman.
