Hey guys, I can get one of these used for $120 CAD (about $90 USD).

Opinions? I'm looking for a classic rock type tone, but I want some bite. I've read that this was used by SRV, which is one direction that I wouldn't mind my tone to head in.

Is it like a boost pedal, boosting the signal into overdriving without actually applying distortion to the signal?

Finally, how do I know if its the reissue or not?
