shoot... forgot to mention. It's gotta be on rollers and the footrest has to be attached to the chair too. I gotta be able to sit in front of a computer monitor for hours, but be able to freely move back and forth so I can use the keyboard, 4ft to my right or move the guitar or bass away from the monitor to stop buzzing.
Like, a typical day is:
Sit down in the chair, grab the guitar and find the right placement for both the monitors or getting feedback from the amp. Then switch over to keyboards and record a track. Switch back to guitar. Then grab a HiHat and adjust the seat up by about 6" so I can play properly.
Then drop the seat down again so I can work on the computer...back over to the keyboard...up 6" again to do vocals...push the chair back 3ft to listen to the monitors...push off with my feet so I can find the stupid pick I just dropped...
back to the keyboard... now I gotta adjust the settings on the effects pedal so it's down 12" so I can reach it...now I gotta play bass so I've gotta adjust again cause it's so huge, then over to acoustic...
then redo the entire acoustic track cause all you can hear is the stupid chair creaking...
Anyways...you get the picture.
I'm basically looking for a senior chairmans leather cushioned office chair with a footrest attached, but no armrests, that's built well enough that it can hold a 200lb guy for 8 hours a day and last more than 6 months without falling apart.
