No one I know has ever done that. Mainly because, though the floyd rose is bulky and hard to maintain, when you buy it, you've usually got your heart set on it. But I guess that since you just want a hardtail for slight affect as opposed to constant divebombs (I'm assuming) you would want to. Well, I can't say whether it can be done or not, because I'm not sure. If it can, though, I doubt it would be worth the cash since everything about a floyd rose is expensive. I'm sure it costs at least one paycheck to replace it with a hardtail.
