Please DON’T ASSUME this will work on every guitar. There are a million wiring diagrams out there, and every selector switch is different. This diagram is specifically for the import 3‑way switch that ships with Jackson Dinky guitars.

Use caution when doing any electrical work on your guitar. You can burn yourself, damage components, or make the guitar stop working. Always take pictures of your wiring before touching anything so you know exactly where each wire goes.

I installed a faraday cage behind my pickups and grounded everything to the cage inside the electronics box. I was also trying to wire my pickups in series/parallel, but I couldn’t get the parallel mode right. The DPDT switch technically worked, but the tone and volume were extremely weak. After two days of trying different configurations, I gave up on the parallel setup.

My Jackson was manufactured in 2021, and this wiring is the only configuration I could get to work reliably.

The view is top‑down, as if the pots are already installed in the guitar, so the clocking angle is accurate. This diagram should be a last resort if your pictures were deleted or if you have a random ground floating in the guitar.
