I've been movin' and shakin' along on my lessons and the songs I've been wanting to learn the past couple of weeks.
I also rearranged my guitar gear. It's not much, but my home and bedroom look more open and inviting.
I got a used MKII Shortboard for my old Line 6 (Spider IV 120) coming from eBay in the mail. I'll be able to update my old amp from 1.04 to 2.0. If anyone remembers, I replaced the speakers in it with a set of Ragin' Cajuns. I know Line 6 was a mixed bag back in the day, but honestly, after replacing the speakers, it's been outstanding for me. That Shortboard will also allow me to use my amp with my feet, and it will have over 70 effects (like overdrive modeling), four new amp models, and update the remaining 16 amp models on board. I am stoked. I think I'll call it a stomp board. I'm not trying to go down the rabbit hole of buying gear and pedals.
As far as listening to music goes, I've had the same Albert King album on repeat for the last week. How cool? It's like his guitar was a megaphone for his voice to express himself. I think when I am done with the blues library, I am going to buy myself a V to honor Albert King for inspiring me. It will be like a badge and have a story behind it.
I'm becoming proud of myself for accomplishing my guitar over the past few months, and I am grateful to have found Guitar Tricks and a few kind people along the way in the forums. I really hope you all had a great week, and your weekend is long. Be safe, dudes! ✌😎
Thanks for reading, and be safe.
