How about some free strap locks ? Next time you (or whoever) buys a loaf of bread, or muffins or something like that, save the little plastic tab that keeps the package closed. Trim off a bit of the plastic to enlarge the opening - voila, a "strap lock". Just slide it on after the strap. Works like a charm, and they are easily replaced.
