Hello,
So I seem to be a lifelong late beginner who has struggled to get over the hump for the past few years and move into intermediate territory.
I’ve tried it all with a multitude of learning methods from YouTube to other sites and nothing works. I have always found though that Guitar Tricks has the best structure and covers what I want to learn. So my question is, how do I go about working up a learning path?
I want to play rock/hard rock/metal and I have narrowed down what I want to focus on for the next year:
- Pick six songs with the goal of learning them in a year
- Seeing that the Rock Level 1 & 2 Courses are solid broad brushstrokes, perhaps I focus on those for a year
- Or, pursue all the new Metal courses that Mike O. has done in this past year.
I don’t want to get overwhelmed and burned out, and stay stuck. So I thought one of those areas of study would be plenty while still seemingly making me a better player.
Your feedback is appreciated.
Thanks,
George
