Now that I have been using this site for a few months, guess I should get a little more involved and introduce myself.
Like many of the folks I see here, I am picking up my guitar after 40 years (embarrassed to say). In the 70’s I played in several garage bands that actually had a fair amount of gigs. Work, family, life… I retired last year and trying to make my fingers work again. Finding this site to be well laid out, enjoying Anders laid-back style.
Ironically I worked in the live entertainment industry as a sound and stage automation tech. I was fortunate in that I worked with many full time pro musicians (AFM) and witnessed the drive and work ethic it required. Trying to tunnel some of that on this.
Not having an amp, I just built a 65 Princeton reverb amp kit to use with my Fender American Strat. Now building a Telecaster, waiting on its Nitrocellulose finish to cure before completion. Also playing a Suzuki W-300 (my then girlfriend, now wife) bought me in 1976.
Best of luck to everyone!
