Here is a quick summary of my guitar journey and how I ended up with a Collings.

I started playing guitar during Covid. My first guitar was a Seagull which I played on and off for a few years. About a year ago, I tried out several different electrics (Strats, Gibson Les Paul, Telecasters) and all were fun. After the initial excitement wore off with the electrics, I found that I rarely picked them up compared to my acoustic guitar. I then decided to try out a couple different acoustics. I traded the Seagull for a Taylor 814 (plus cash). Later I sold that and bought a Martin 000-18 Modern Deluxe. I was happy as I could be with the Martin and a Gibson Les Paul 60s until I walked into Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta and tried out some Collings. I couldn't stop thinking about how incredible the Collings OM2H as after playing it (its that good). After some reflection, I realized my true passion is trying to get as good as possible at fingerstyle, and I ended up trading my LP and Martin towards it.

I'm sure I'll get another electric guitar in the future. In the meantime, I'm going to play the strings off the Collings! Picture below from yesterday when I took her home.
