I have very large hands (almost freakishly so some might say), but they really don't give me that much of an advantage. Size isn't the issues, its flexability. If you look at Shawn Lane, he has small hands, and he's known for playing everything in wide intervals, all over the neck.

I think the biggest hands I've ever seen were on Michael Harris, on stage they didn't seem that big, but when I got up close and shook his hand it was like I was a little kid again and I put my little hand in my fathers.
