Hey, there's reasons why people stick with tried'n'true materials. Trying something different means taking the chance on building an expensive turd! :eek:

Fender made an experimental Strat out of granite. No, really. It had a special stand that held it up so it could be played. Apparently, it didn't have much to offer in the way of tone, but the sustain was amazing!

Anyway, do some research. I was serious about that search keyword. The neck and fingerboard materials are just as important as the body - maybe even more important.
