This is what i have concluded so far...
There must have was always a signal, but the signal was (and still is) too weak to be heard at a reasonable volume. I'm happy that there is at least a signal, but now my problem is, how do I amplify the sound? I've tried many things, from turning the volume up on my speakers to catch the sound, to turn the volume up completely in the volume control, to a few other things.
