actually fender uses alder and ash mostly.
but if i'll use a maple top on mahogany body will it reduce the mahogany effect greatly or will it make a noticeble difference at all?
the thought behind this is to add highs to a highless mahogany body.
also does a neck through means that the neck is made of the same pice of wood the body is made off?
any suggestions for fretboard wood?
i want the guitar to have a bassy powerfull warm sound, i'm considering putting a tone lock too, but i do want it to be somewhat versatile, depending on the setup with the destortion and effects.
