I'm not completely sure about this, but I think that your amp has to be built with a jack specifically for that type of pedal. My brother's amp has a "Channel Switching Pedal" jack and a pedal that came with the amp for channel switching. My amp does not have such a feature, and I have not been able to find anything to produce similar results on my amp.
